G5-2000WC handheld laser

AT ONLY $17,380 G5-2000WC is the BEST VALUE laser welder on the market

  • Welds aluminium better than others costing far more
  • 33% more power but far cheaper than IPG Lightweld and XC
  • Superior finish on stainless and steel, thanks to our double wobble system
  • Simple pre-sets for every situation, but easy access to every parameter
  • Australia’s biggest selling laser welder

MAKE MONEY WHILE YOU WELD – 5 TIMES FASTER THAN TIG!

Typically 5 times faster than TIG. Much easier to use than MIG and TIG.
Our G5-2000WC uses the latest generation laser source for high electrical efficiency, reliability and stability.
Higher duty cycle than its main competitors thanks to an efficient internal heat pump system. Weld up to 100% duty cycle at 40°C. Proven reliability in the Australian market.

THE BEST WELDS, TIME AFTER TIME

Gen5 models have the best welding head and control system. Easy to use. Easy to dial up the correct weld each time.
By using our pre-sets (which are also able to be updated or reverted to factory settings) welding becomes process controlled. Our optional wire feeder provides speed control, giving beautiful, consistent welds.
Customer testing showed our welds were stronger than TIG, even with a smaller fillet, because we don’t overheat the metal.
Using the double pendulum galvanometer (two rotating mirrors) our head can trace up to six very useful patterns for welding, including the common circle pattern, oval ellipse, triangle and hourglass figure 8 shapes. The pattern size can range from 0mm for laser cutting, up to 5mm diameter if required by your situation. The standard head is our 4th generation “double wobble” welding head, which we believe is the best commercially available hand held laser welding head.
2000W of laser power easily penetrates and welds up to 5mm thick stainless steel or carbon steel including galvanized steel, and aluminum with full penetration. The overall dimensions are a compact 90x60x90cm and 140kg.

TWIN-ROLLER WIRE FEEDER

Our included twin roller wire feeder option controls the welding speed, giving beautiful and consistent welds. This is not required for a lot of welding, but very useful if the parts being welded have gaps larger than 0.2mm. Feed rolls are grooved for .8, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.6mm welding wire. The wire size should be at least as big as the gap being welded. The welder comes with a full set of nozzles / tips to accommodate these wire sizes. Our wire feeder dimensions are 55x27x43cm and 7kg.

LASER CLEANING OPTION

LASER CLEANING is available if required. Our touchscreen control system has welding and cleaning interfaces built in. Note that the cleaning version does not have a double wobble head, so is restricted to single wobble like IPG Lightweld, etc.

SAFETY NOTES

  1. Laser welders are Class IV lasers. They can start fires and burn skin at close range but are also dangerous to the eyes for at least 100 metres, so special safety measures are required. We provide guidance on safety, but because safety is so important our safety acknowledgement must be signed before shipping and using the laser welder.
  2. You must purchase and use our safety glasses and laser welding helmet with this machine. In any case these are the best value on the market, with high and known protection levels, so you should be using them anyway.

NOTE

It is recommended to include an autotransformer (voltage stabiliser) for 2000WC, which is available at an additional cost of $900 plus GST.
